For this project, I developed my own process for creating and repairing the inflatables utilizing heat sealing and PVC

cement.

The Design of DADs

DADs is an evening length dance performance piece by Drama Tops, which explores grief, loss, and masculinity. As the performers blow up 9 orange inflatables, we see their breath and effort in condensation on the surface. The set, costumes, and props are also clad in velcro, causing the performers to amass, entangle, and stick together as the piece progresses.

I also supported the fabrication

of the gigantic sewn inflatable seen here.
